Re: Hadley's Hope's size, I did some poking around in the blueprints book and maddeningly it doesn't have any scale figures. The blueprint that comes with the RPG does indicate scale, but its map also doesn't entirely line up 1:1 with the blueprints book.

I mean, the "easiest" way is probably to just ask Graham what he mathed out for the blueprints book.

Not to take the topic off course, but one place that "colony life" is given some good exploration is in the original AVP comic book. A lot of it focuses on the politics and the lives of the rangers as the situation is unfolding around them.
