After effects 7.0, i actually did it in the same way they did it in avp.

I already done test scenes that have a running time for about 3 minutes, so yes, it can be done as a movie.
That picture with the girl is actually a movie and i just took a screenshot.

Can you actually do that with the fan film you're going to make?

The effect will be very much used in my fanfilm.
