Ok thanks, didn't spot your edit above.

What's up with the assault allegations against Driver? Any truth to that?

Ingwar

I haven't heard anything. What's going on?

𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔈𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔥 𝔓𝔞𝔰𝔰𝔢𝔫𝔤𝔢𝔯

There was some gossip yesterday about him assaulting a 70-year old Portuguese actress on the Don Quixote set.

Depending on which translation version you're reading he either snuck up behind Lidia Franco and bashed her to bits with a chair (unlikely) or he had a temper tantrum on-set and took out his frustrations on a chair scaring the poor lady (more likely).

Safe to say Lidia Franco wasn't impressed with his conduct on-set.

EDIT

Found some clarity on the "allegation":

Ingwar

Thanks. Good to hear nothing serious came out of this. By the way, I've seen The Man Who Killed Don Quixote yet.

So the release date has been brought forward by 2 days. It sounds like most of the story took place in Milan? Good to see that they will be filming in that city then.

Does the script also start with the murder of Maurizio Gucci and then jump back in time like the book?

Spoiler
It starts with pre-murder scene, when Maurizio drinks coffee before going to work (as long as I remember), and throughout the script Patrizia Reggiani narrates evens chronologically. We come back to the murder scene at the very end.

Are you reading the book?

Spoiler
I only read the first chapter on Amazon UK. The book starts with Maurizio entering the lobby of the office in Milan where he works and then getting gunned down (all described in detail) by a professional hitman. It was kind of told through the perspective of the doorman/caretaker who was also shot but survived.

What you just have described is
Spoiler
almost the last scene in the script. The trail (very quick scene) is the very last one.

Interesting... so they basically switched it around. I thought the book had quite a dramatic (not to mention bloody) opening.

Ingwar

Yeah, they basically
Spoiler
sandwiched the main story between Maurizio sitting in the cafe (opening) and his demise (ending).

QuoteFilming for #Gucci at Lake Como Eyes:
"...it was director Ridley Scott who chose some villas on the lake to be able to start shooting in our territory towards the end of March, at the latest in early April."

There are scenes in which
Spoiler
Patrizia Reggiani and her husband Maurizio Gucci travel to Aldo Gucci's villa by the lake (if I remember correctly) and join family party and then talk some business. There are also scenes with Maurizio's yacht

Ridley finally gets to put a yacht scene in a movie.
