Hi guys, wow its been a while since i last posted here.
anyway i have been working on an Animatronic Alien Head, heavy influenced by Pete mander's design.

you will notice that the jaw(teeth) do not look like the original alien teeth. molars? aliens dont have molars! nor do they have pink gums.

Well the plan is for this project to have a slightly different feel and look to it, as if a facehugger had impregnated a wolf or something. The colours i have chosen for the head will also be slightly different using a flush of green, orange, etc. like these:



hopefully i will be fabricating the head dome in the next few weeks.

I have this project posted on a few other forums, but i feel that i would need the opinions of true Alien Fans.

Well iv been looking at new ideas for the sculpt and as you know im going for a different design.
This design doesn't include the shooting tongue either.

So, iv been thinking of changing the way it would "attack".!
Some ideas include having a protruding bone from the front of the skull, that could be used to barge its prey?
like a pachycephalosaurus dinosaur:




its a new idea so im expecting some upset fans. on the other hand it might be excepted as a good idea?

dont worry about the strange looking dropped jaw. it wont look like that once iv finished. just a process that allows me to work close to the mech as pos.

I think it's unnecessary to be honest.  Aliens ram the bejesus out of doors - very likely with their heads - without bony protrusions. But it's a work in progress so I won't rush to judgement.

I think you could get away with it if it had a context (like it actually came out of a pachycephalosaurus or something).
