The full trailer for Prometheus has just premiered online at AMC Theatres’ Youtube channel as promised. The video runs for 2 minutes and 32 seconds and includes a whole lot of new and spoilery footage.

You can watch the video below. Alternatively you can download it here in glorious HD.

Below you can also watch the Q&A with director Ridley Scott and Lindelof from the same promotional event in which they answer some questions regarding the film’s origins, Peter Weyland and more.

Additionally, there’s another Q&A at AICN in which the film’s rating is mentioned. “It will be what it is. At the end of the day, you’ve got to go for the best movie – and that comes from Tom Rothman basically. (…) You go for as stringent as possible. But at the end of the day, it’s a pretty good relationship with me and Tom.” Says Ridley. Read the full interview here.

I09 has published an extensive description of the Prometheus footage that was screened at WonderCon moments ago. You can read the full thing here.

“The trailer begins with a shot of waterfalls on an alien world, while Charlize Theron’s corporate character Meredith Vickers observes in voiceover: “A king has his reign. And then he dies. It’s inevitable.” The starship Prometheus lands on the planet as its crew emerges from Alien-style cryogenic sleep. The crew includes archaeologists who are there to examine a number of ancient alien civilizations discovered throughout the planet.”

Be sure to check the forums to read several blogs from the event. Also stay tuned for the live AMC Theatres panel which will be happening in one hour.

Fox has released a new viral video via their official website www.weylandindustries.com. The video plays as an ad for a new line of Synthetics from Weyland Corp. and shows what appears to be Michael Fassbender as David 8. The tag line “Big things have small beginnings”, which some may remember from previous leaked material, can be heard on the video. You can download the viral here in HQ.

According to Collider.com: ” During the pic’s WonderCon panel earlier today, fans were given cards from Weyland Corp that directed them to a website and a phone number. If you call the number, an operator informs you that all Weyland Corp lines are busy, but calls your attention to a text message you’ve just received. The text message gives you a link that directs you to a truly spectacular video narrated by one of the film’s stars.

Stay tuned for more coverage on WonderCon coming soon. Thanks to movielord101 for the link.

A new IMAX 3D trailer for Prometheus has just found its way online which includes plenty of new footage. It just over a minute long so we can still expect the full length trailer released later today. As well as that, a new website has also gone live, Project Prometheus.

There doesn’t appear to be anything on there at the moment aside from this hidden page but the Weyland Industries website has updated with a Corporate Timeline. It’s a very extensive timeline offering a lot of backstory for the Prometheus story and the Alien story.

You can download a medium quality copy of the trailer here.

You should all remember Dennis Lowe, one of the SFX artists behind Alien, producing a number of fantastic documentaries called Alien Makers. A year or so back he also produced a documentary called Alien Fans, looking at how the movie had effected the life of those who had watched it.

Alien amongst others. Be sure to check out the rest of Dennis’ work on his website!

We recently learnt that Titan would be publishing Prometheus: The Art of the Film. It turns out Titan is also going to re-publishing a number of older Alien books as well:

“With Prometheus on the way, they are replicating the format for themselves, with Alien: The Illustrated Story: The Artists’ Edition, now renamed from “The Original Edition” to closer mirror the IDW editions. The volume will reprint the original art of the Heavy Metal Archie Goodwin/Walt Simonson adaptation of Ridley Scott’s Alien at the 14″ x 17″ size.

The volume will also include colour tryout pages, the Goodwin script, an interviews with Simonson as well as his signature on every copy. Titan are also making the original story available in colour paperback at a… slightly more affordable price as Alien – The Illustrated Story.”

The recently revealed Weyland Industries website has been updated with several new sections, most of them being restricted areas for now. You can also now register to receive the latest updates from Fox and become a Weyland Corporation investor. Most importantly, the front page is featuring an intriguing image of a finger print with the Weyland Industries logo on it.

According to the official website: “Weyland engineers have been working around the clock to bring you the newest, most advanced addition to the Weyland family. Stay tuned for a special announcement.”

The About Us section has also been expanded with some interesting key facts about the company as well as an image of the Earth (this image also contains a mysterious blinking star). You can read it all after the cut.

Update: Remember the blinking star from yesterday? The mystery has now been solved. Thanks to an avid fan and his Morse code skills we’ve got a high quality image from the film in our hands. See it here.
