Prepping another surprise reveal for #facehuggerfriday something unexpected & more conceptual a what if type of item. Speculate away

I wonder what it will be? Imagine if we got an Arcturian figure.
If they're willing to make a "what if" figure of a creature that doesn't appear on-screen but aren't willing to make a figure of the River Ghost (which *is* on screen), then that's a little wacky.

RG requires unique sculpting. This thing will probably be like the little alien worker which uses most of the Aliens Xeno parts with a couple new things.

Whatever this is will likely be something made up of parts already used or that will be used later.

So this will be another concept figure, yes? I wonder if we're going to go down the road of hypothetical "facehugger implanting animal X so the adult would look like" figures. They're pretty talented creators in their own right but I don't think it'll fly if that's what they're going to do.

    Of course...

What if... They make...finally...the Praetorian? Dream come true, number one wishlisted Alien toy. Please??

From Neca..."thermal vision" glow in the dark AvP Alien.

Have you got a link to the source, Sabres?

Interesting concept, very very interesting. I would probably grab one of those. It's a pretty cool concept.

It popped up on NECA Twitter.  It actually wasn't supposed to be seen yet, but one of the international sellers jumped the gun and posted pics.

This will be a Toys R Us exclusive in the U.S.

International sellers will be announced later.

Due for a late summer release.

That's a really clever way to do the "Alien Vision" from the movie. I'm not planning to buy one (although I am a sucker for glow in the dark stuff), but it's still pretty damn cool.

The albino Aliens' chests opened in the treatment. Pity that left that out.

Also I feel it would've been a shitload easier to just call them "drones" like they were in the script. "Albino Aliens" just seems like it's needlessly lengthening the conversation :P

They seem to be following the book where they are just smaller aliens with long tongues.

    And Albino Aliens sounds cooler?

As for the albino Alien.... easy skip for me. the tongue is a put off and like the translucent alien it's more of a novelty thing. then again the translucent xeno would be pretty cool in the right lighting. but I usually stay away from transparent plastic because it breaks easiest.

You can take off the tongue.

So maybe you can make a white alien group... and have it fight the red aliens and the dark blue aliens.

    We'd need an albino queen

Ever since i heard about the small albino drone alien i always imagined it as a tailless version of Gigers Necronomicon creature. Translucent skin, non combatant almost pathetic. I could imagine two or three of them slowly gathering around a freshly laid egg, plucking it and moving it to its designated area. They can also be used to explain the egg in Alien 3. One could have stole away in the landing gear with the queen and, after the queens death and the all clear, would have crept out from the shadows of the landing gear and made its way into the Sulaco's cryo sleep chamber, egg in towe, and placed it near the cryo tubes. Then it could have died somewhere in the ship leaving behing a dead bio mass. Thoughts?

On the contrary I dig it more than Albino Alien.

sticking demonic wings can make alot of things cool. I like to see them do the Bull alien. I just hope they don't stick horns on the runner sculpt. the bull alien was very bulky body and a much different head.

I was sorta of thinking they'd re-use the Runner sculpt for both the Panther and Night Cougar Alien! The latter two will be the same, just with different paint jobs.

If they did just stick horns on the Runner scupt, there's a precedent for it: the Bull Alien "photo" on the old Kenner toy packaging was literally the 'Alien3' Alien with horns added to it.

I mean of course I'd rather NECA went all out and did a toy-accurate update, but I'm just sayin'.

Would be awesome if Neca treated us with Bull Alien along with Wild Boar and Gorilla Aliens. I'd skip the Scorpion Alien since he's too generic. I would also skip the Snake and Mantis Aliens since they look over the top. But who knows, maybe I'd get them too because of their weird uniqueness.

An accurate Grid is supposed to come in a 2-pack with a battle damaged predator

    That's why I blame Neca.
When I just started collecting I made a huge mistake of buying 5 different variants of Wolf now I can't justify buying the same figure over and over unless there are huge visible differences between these figures. As for 2 pack it will be a slightly modified version of Celtic vs Grid. I know I can shut the hell up and not buy but Instead I'd voice my opinion cause I'm paying money for these figures.

Back to Kenner Aliens wouldn't it be cool to have this Bat Alien by Neca?

As for Grid's tail I think you are wrong. Not everyone has the necessary skills to do customs, besides why should we do their job? We pay for Grid alien not some random Alien loosely based on Grid. I guesd they will remake the same figure again. With more accuracy. But you should already know about Neca's milking process.
Agreed, "Grid" was a very simple repaint, why couldn't they have modified the tail to have the wound Grid had in the movie? it wouldn't have been hard or that costly for Neca to do.
  17. georgeromero
And where the hell did I mention that improving or improvising is a bad thing? I just stated the obvious. If Neca could get away with non screen accurate figures based off films they could make the same happen with Kenner stuff.
