Sega has recently released a series of Marine profiles featuring some of the characters from the upcoming game Aliens: Colonial Marines. Below you can find all previously released profiles as well as the last image of the batch released today.
Additionally, you can read a preview article on the game from the latest issue of Game Informer magazine here on the forums.
All of them except Paxton.
They can't reasonably develop an entire battalion of characters. Smaller number of main characters keep it focused. And the level I played I always had a squadmate with me and the developer led demo also always had another character there.
if that so...than its avp yet again...lamelamelamelame with 0 story, with 0 character development, i wanna get to know the others, i want to feel sorry for the rest of the battallion, so lame, all about graphic and massacre...
Still wished the game was more of a squad-based game with somewhat distinct classes...
Rifleman, Smartgunner, Comm-Tech and Medic. The Rifleman being able to carry a second firearm aside from the pulse rifle and the pistol. The Smartgunner is "stuck" with the Smartgun and all that it has to offer (also carries a pistol), whereas the Comm-Tech and the Medic pack pulse rifles and pistols, and instead of a second firearm they carry one Motion Detector each. The Comm-Tech is also equipped with a hacking device and assembles and primes Sentry Guns faster than other classes. The Medic's special equipment is a medikit and a fire extinguisher (which can be used both to extinguish fires a well as somewhat neutralizing acid on the ground/floor). Medics and Comm-Techs may exchange their pulse rifle for a shotgun, flame unit etc. (but no heavy weapons), but they may not carry both. All marines are equipped with flares, flashlights, IR vision, blowtorches and hand grenades. Then you have ranking... privates and corporals etc.
Aw well, it's never gonna happen.

New campaign video today. You are not just running around by yourself as Winter in A:CM. There are squad elements that include AI marines "with" you.
That's funny because the campaign demos show plenty of AI marines around with you throughout various parts of the story, with dialogue and everything. There will be moments when you are alone though. Which is a good thing.
so no secret that Bella, the robo man and morales brother will survive the story -.-'
they won't interact or do anything but what the script says. they'll be there for the scene being and most likely f**k off until the next segment while you wade through alone, that's how games do it now. at most they will be AI roaming some area until they're killed or you finish. you probably will have to take care of them if that's the case, which i would be okay with if i had the smallest amount of control over them.
If, if, if, if...
Wow, well this really f**king sucks, the only reason I even cared about this game was because I thought it would be Winters plus a few marines in missions together with the occasional "Winters do this!" mission. Damn, I'm really upset about this...well, not sure if it's even worth getting just to play with other people.
Winters-do-everything time.
Originally it was going to be squad command gameplay where you control 4 different characters at once, giving them orders and switching between them as needed.
Now it has the story with the host playing Winter and up to 3 others can join in for co-op and play the campaign together as a team.
Wait, what?! They removed this from the campaign?!

sry last off
Oh man, yeah you're right. They look related to say the least.
O'Neil remind me of Francis from L4D lol
Back on topic: Winter excels in firepower... does that mean he has big guns? Lol
That too.
In other words I wish they delivered us a bunch of helmet wearing grunts.
And btw., as much as Bella feels like another sexualized cute face eye-candy for male gamers, O'neil annoys me even more... He looks like a total cartoon character. Like some Gears of War jarhead. Beefed up steroid toddler biker wannabe moron. He looks ridiculous and completely out of place, whereas his buddy Cruz looks like he belongs to Deus Ex or something.
Really? Hmm. Well, the squad based gameplay take was what made me really interested in the game in the first place.
I was pretty much picturing ALIENS - The Board Game (flash version), but as a FPS.
Because I don't like the direction this game is heading.
It was supposed to be a squad based game staying true to the lore, delivering us the ultimate Aliens experience. But when taking a peek at the game as it looks right now it looks less Aliens than AVP2010.
Had a redbadge female Marine offer to hold my watch when we played her platoon in football today.
"Hey dickface, come here and I'll hold your watch. f**ktard."
That was them being nice.
The Marines as characters don't disappoint me, it is the fact that the Marines are in so many Aliens games. Thats just one group of all different orders of society in the human race. Use some different characters from somewhere creators.
I hated Tequila.
Probably will still buy it though, even if the experience will be masohistic.
Yeah, but the game looks freakin awesome and it will play awesome. Why so down chum. Downess has a tendency to become viral.
