This again? Seriously, people fail to do research before posting and it ain't gonna change..

QuoteAnd how exactly are we half way there? At which point could you call half way? Half way for most people is a confirmed release date and press conferences that aren't boxed away where people wont find them or even open them up at all!

Half way there to "making you happy", as you said you need the two things to be happy. Not "half way there" to the game being complete.

QuoteLets take a look at how "Focused they are on Aliens compared to Duke Nukem.

This is the Duke Nukem Forever project that can be found on Gearbox's website.

Thats been there for less than three months.

Lets look at the one for Aliens.

Wow, the one has more text so they're so much more focused on it!

And what a surprise, it's the game they're about to release, A:CM comes AFTER, I thought we were clear on that.

QuoteGearbox make good FPS Games sure. But i highly doubt SEGA has "THAT" much power over them that they can't release some information for its fans??

    Look up "NDA".

Raging won't speed up the process.

How The Hell Do we Know It's in The Works? All We've Recieved Is Old Images That Have Been Put Into Hi-res and the typical bullshit excuse of "We're Working REALLY hard on this game." Even though they decided to take on the Duke Nukem project aswell as more Borderlands DLC.

Are You Guys Happy With Anything That Comes Your Way?  ???

As Long As I Know This Game Is In The Works and doesn't get replaced by Borderlands 2, then im happy.

And you know the game is in the works, so we're half way there.

Thats been there for at least 2 years, it details absolutely nothing regarding aliens whatsover, even if you choose to read the press release it takes you to a magical world of jack shit!

I will admit, if Borderlands 2 is placed in front of A:CM, I will probably stop following A:CM's slow development but once its the priority again I would return. This is entirely what if.  ???  ::)  :P

Sega need to seriously onsider giving us something worthy of out patience and time. This trickle of non-information is casting all involved parties in a poor light. They must have SOMETHING to show us...

Yo quit hatin' please. This looks awesome. All I want is more Aliens stuff.

The haters need to realize our franchise is almost dead. Support it so we can have more of it, is my opinion.

If you think AvP3 was underrated then something tells me you will like this game as I am betting A:CM will be MUCH better than AvP3.

That's something we'll have to wait to find out, but Gearbox sure as hell are taking their sweet time releasing info. Even Duke Nukem: Forever is getting released before Colonial Marines, what a joke.

Its actually not a joke considering DNF was announced a good 9 years I think before A:CM.

Aliens versus Predator(3) was just some kind of a beta, a demo that they sold as a full game.
I hope this time we will see a game made with dedication and with the quality that it deserves.

Going by Gearbox's current record, I'm not sure how this will turn out. I also think AvP is highly underrated, I'll gladly play it until -and after- Colonial Marines comes out.

I know this is currently in the in the current build of the game, at PAX (2010) there was a screen showing the marines and a "BA" was shown glowing in the background the "BAR" looks exactly like it.

Nothing to get excited about, it's just a blurry screenshot of a colony in the rain.

When we get a trailer or some actual news about when this game is coming out, then I'll care.

There are a couple more screenshots on that page. No question they're in-game, doesn't look quite as pretty as AvP3 from what I can see (hard to tell with all the rain and murkiness), but seems to do a better job of capturing the feel of Aliens.

There're some bitching coronas and specular effects on the dropship, but some very flat textures on the hypersleep pods and nearby floor.

Bit confused about this shot tbh. I asked around and it's mostly real time. Those are real assets, but it might have been a test map. I think it's an old shot anyway. I'd need to confirm it, tho. Edit: Just in case anyone was still wondering. Just confirmed it to be a old screenshot. Dated around the same time as the two others.
