Sega has revealed a new promotional video for Aliens: Colonial Marines today featuring the Alien infested engineering room of the U.S.S. Sulaco. Additionally, a new piece of concept art has been released via the official Facebook page of the game. You can find both items below:

"lolnope"
Omg...I forgot about that already!
There is no limit to Gearbox's potential for insanity.
It would seem not.
Of course, remains to be seen if it ends up in the final game.
I'm late to the game. When did they show this?
Would've been more accurate (and funny) to find them wrapped balls first around one of the dropship landing struts.
Floating through space somewhere I would assume.
I like you stand for your opinions. You are worthy of goldblums avatar.
2nd is Alien 3 - seemed almost a replicate to Alien to my memory.
3rd is Resurrection, but cameron's alien egg looked better and more like the original on the outside, lacking those round 'breasts' that the a:r ones have. however, as mentioned earlier in the thread, cameron's aliens egg's looked poor on the inside, noodle filled indeed. and i also don't like how 'thin' the actual egg appears in cameron's depiction. a:r's egg closely resembles the internal egg of the original, and looks more 'convincing' overall. not too disappointed.
Says who?
But eggs aren't suppose to be alive. The eggs in A:R reminded me more of the balls that pop out of Gizmo's back in Gremlins before they turn into little creatures. It just didn't seem to fit...like the whole movie itself.
Nothing wrong with ressurection egg designs. Jeunet's take on it was awesome. Made them feel like they were an alltogether different creature alive and pulsating. Way better than Cameron's noodle filled bananna peel eggs. Bleh.
You seemed to miss when I said this:
Which goes to show you that I don't think scripted events as black or white as you think I do. And the post that you quoted me from should pretty much explain it as well. I was hoping I was specific enough in that first post so that no one would make the mistake of thinking that I meant scripted events in general are bad.
Its amusing how some people think scriped is bad, i mean most cinematic games where you try to achieve specific goals are scripted. The AI: might have unscripted events triggered but if the game was totally open-world non-linear and non-scripted it wouldn't be much of a controlled experience at all and thus not necessarily good at all.
There are cons and pros to everything, its not black and white.
If they were authentic, then those legs wouldn't be there- unless Bishop is secretly Spiderman, and can't be dislodged from any surface...without tearing it off with him. Stupid Gearbox.
and the marines are ripped...canon
My only MAIN beef is if they make all the xenos with toon animations. It totally ruins the feeling that these can logically exist in our world.
For example, in AR where an xeno just jumps out of the water and onto a ladder with ease and precision. Some guy at Pixar is laughing all the way to the bank while we have that TOONISH crap installed in our minds.
XENOs should move natural like they were motion captured, if not for some slight modifications. They should move ever so slightly like a real man should. That would ultimately sell your xenos the best possible way.
Its the sick feeling you get when it moves like a man but it looks like a machine.
Yet they changed in every new depiction since 1979 - be it film, comic, or video game.
Its because you are being irrational. The xeno 'costumes' were fit for man. And...made to be filmed in complete darkness with light highlights. Well lo and behold, we get to see them in all its CGI glory in the game and THUS they need to conceal what would literally spoil the xeno's costume design by concealling all the crap that made it look like a bloody costume.
Remember that the xenos feet looked like slippers or running shoes with toes. So they completely took that out for that reason alone and also because that I can describe it to you while i'm drunk. its that bad.
I haven't played too many horror games but are there any that have unscripted events that actually work? I've heard of Amnesia and Penumbra but I can't think of anything else that is mostly unscripted.
Based on what we've seen so far - they're not. Unless someone moved them. Stupid thing is they seem to have gotten the position of his top half correct.
Absolutamente.
Add to that was the passive poo-pooing of Resurrection "While Resurrection is just random stuff..." Obviously not random enough to not nick the egg designs as well as the cryotube designs.
Seriously? It's an egg. Odds are you going to blow the thing to hell before you can get up close to it and inspect it and all its details.
Agreed, they chose the worse design from the worse movie...Specially this is following ALiens, why in tha hell would they change the egg design?!
