I wonder if the fight among crewmembers we've seen taking place in the hangar bay, happens right after they arrive back with a wounded/infected Fifield. Vickers (with the flamethrower) won't allow him to come onboard and all Hell breaks loose and he goes on a rampage.

I'm thinking Milburn is the one with the total helmet melting, giving him an early and horrible exit from the film
Millburn gets the full acid melt and fifield only a partial. SO, fifield would be the first scene(alson present in the very first teaser) and millburn the second. or are they the same shots??? I dont see galsess in any one of them.. ???

It seems like as time passes that STARBEAST synopsis could be true especially since you can see Vickers transforming in 1 of the shots. She hits 1 of the crew. I actually liked that synopsis that was floating around. at the 2:27 mark something is going on with the left side of her face and her skull looks discolored by her ponytail.

We've seen them before, though.  They've been wielding flamethrowers since the teaser trailer and look like a heavier version of a suit for more industrial work.

Has there been any talk of the actual size of the Prometheus crew in total? Seems like there's about 20 people on board.

Anyone starting to think that somehow all the crew get infected and the xenomorph/facehugger being able to "adapt" to everything it attaches adapts to their helmets and that's why the aliens in the movies later on have those domed shaped skulls as part of their 'mutations'?

Mmno. :) Let the beast rest.

Glad to see there'll be some red shirts in the movie, look like deck crewmen. Preeetty sure they're about to be horrifically slaughtered.

Aaaaaaaaaand Holloway continues to irritate like a motherf**ker. And Janek's accent is still really silly.

With this last trailer sort of confirming it for me, I expect this film to be almost completely unlike ALIEN and more like a 50's/60's sci-fi/horror with an inflated budget. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I was kinda hoping for something more atmospheric and spooky, without any potential for camp or wooden dialogue--"Do you have some kind of agenda in this, Ms. Vickers?" Oh lord. ::)

Expecting this to be a solid blockbuster. Not expecting it to be in the same league as the original trilogy. At any rate, bring on June 8th!

Oops - I meant Fifield, sorry - he's the guy with the mohawk.  :)
There might be 2 not 1 with helmet 'trouble', Milburn being the other one. The shot I posted really looks like Fifield - I don't see any glasses either...

    Thx MrSpaceJockey  :)

@OpenMaw - I'm thinking they remove the helmet, revealing the head inside - placing it inside the shielding for contamination reasons. That green goo sure looks like the xeno acid blood...

It works, it's a matter of the change in depth too. If you're losing an inch off the front for the mask to reveal the face, that would explain the change in perspective.

Besides, who says they actually use their eyes to look out the "holes" in the helmet? More than likely we're dealing with some kind of a biogenic link. The helmet having it's own eyes entirely, so they don't have to match up necessarily. :)

Not anymore, it's in the middle of shattering, but it's definitely the same thing as the Jockey head. It's the same room going by the background.

I still think it's that Jockey's head brought back to the ship, looks like it's going through changes then explodes, releasing something inside....maybe

The jockey helmet most likely belongs to a statue; which has a sculpted head too. In the laboratory they take the helmet off, and that is what they get.

I said the Jockey's head anyway not the helmet, we already know it gets removed, this probably has something to do with why the head explodes
  20. Firestorm
Perhaps the crew carry out an experiment and use this on the dead Jockeys brain?

    "WEYLAND INDUSTRIES SYNAPSE REESTABLISHER"

"Another remarkable technological feat from Weyland scientists, the Synapse Reestablisher, through precise, minute electrical innervation, awakens dormant neurons in the brain tissue of deceased or dying patients. This delicate technology is highly sensitive and restricted to a select group of doctors and scientists. The 9 existing Reestablishers have been in use for the past 2 years in medical schools and biotech research centers for experimental use only, pending FDA investigation."

Imagine a scene of a dead jockey head coming back to life, it would be completley disturbing and at the same time echo the Ash reanimation scene from Alien, before an adverse reaction of sorts causes the brain to explode?

Probs just my f**ked up imagination in overdrive tho :)

On second thought that does look like one of the Engineer's head. Remember during one trailer it showed the same scene only that time it had a SJ "helme" so what if they remove the "helmet" and his head explodes? That certainly does not look human to me in my opinion.

Ford is in the medbay with the others.  She's got a surgical mask on.

There are at least two trips out, which would echo the original Dan O'Bannon script for the first film which was cut down (removing the temple, etc) for budget.  Remember: the Nostromo crew finds the decapitated head of a jockey, examines it in their lab, then goes back out to discover the temple and the eggs.  Sound familiar?
