I think a mining shaft would be an excellent place for a group of Xenomorphs to hide and pursue their daily lives.  There would be plenty of hosts and they prefer dark environments I assume.

Hive in the sewer in NY is mayby the best place to build one. The NY Sewer system HUGE(i think...) and you can get everywhere from there!

I'd set up a hive underneath New York. There's miles of tunnels and other stuff down there, it'll be dark, humid, and it gives easy access to much of the city.
