Not believing this until the family makes a public announcement.

Why would they make it up? There's no reason to believe it's fake.

Just came across this a minute ago. Could be wrong or not...damn you internet!

EDIT

THEY HAVE UPATED THE ARTCILE NOW. Not sure if they mean that the story of him being dead is false, or that he is in fact.

QuoteJames Gandolfini Death Hoax Dismissed Since Actor Is 'Alive And Well'

On Wednesday (June 19) the actor's reps officially confirmed that James Gandolfini is not dead. "He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet," they said.

Some fans have expressed anger at the fake report saying it was reckless, distressing and hurtful to fans of the much loved actor. Others say this shows his extreme popularity across the globe.

QuoteCNN) -- James Gandolfini, who gained fame playing a memorable mafia boss on HBO's "The Sopranos" by giving the role a contemporary twist of visiting a therapist for middle-age anxieties, died after suffering a possible heart attack in Italy, an HBO spokeswoman and the actor's managers said Wednesday.

If the HBO says he's dead...then damn. This f**king sucks, too f**king early for this man to go. R.I.P.

Probably the saddest I've been at the death of a celebrity. Which is saying something, as I've never before been truly sad at a celebrity death.

And I only just watched Burt Wonderstone yesterday.  :'(
