The skull is one of the more unique thing about the original design so I see why one would bring more focus to it, especially on a poster of all things. I especially like the coloring to it, reminds me of scenes inside MOTHER.

for the record, I hate the human skull cavities on the Giger design.  I'm grateful that Cameron/Winston ditched them when they ditched the canopy.
