Prometheus Lands in Skyrim - WIP
« on: Feb 12, 2012, 10:44:08 PM »
So as some of you know already I'm currently working on a small Prometheus-inspired modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Now that the modding tools are out I can finally start testing concepts and ideas. The project is at the early stages but any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Place-holder Alien Derelict Ship model says hi (just testing the scale ATM):

She may not appear in the final version.

H.R Giger's hieroglyphics from Alien. This is the very first finished asset for the add-on:

Which layout do you guys like better?

Art done by the fantastic Natasha Saville, you can find her at Deviantart or Facebook.

Model created by the fantastic Puskaric82. Creatures originally designed by Nicolas Rouelle and Shivha respectively.

New acquisition. Model done by the amazing Puskaric82.

Updated Hammerpede model done by Igor.

Early look at one of the environments done by Jim.

That's the goal. It's meant to be an easter egg more than anything.

Is there any particular bit from Alien or Prometheus that you guys would like to see in-game?

As already mentioned...i had the same idea as well, i can still remember a while ago i was editing the urns in the editor, but there were so many other things to do so i had to skip it. I see this is a proof that only extraordinary people have such ideas soooo: Awesome work!

You could place debris around the ship and hide some things among it...something from Weyland of course and you may equip the one or other thing.
I could as well imagine strange footsteps that lead you to a dark village full of dead bodies and finally you end up in an even darker cave that...you know the rest

And i'm talking 'bout really dark places...this game needs more mature content  >:(

The debris models are already in the works actually. I have several ideas for that. The Giger mural from above will be included in that scene too. And sounds good about the cave. If only I had the time to learn more about the creation kit...

atlantis' design of the derelict interiors comes first in my mind! :) would work perfectly for a cave! or is it even possible to generate a dungeon within the derelict?  :o

that would be so awesome...

Atlantis and I are good friends. In fact the place-holder derelict model I used for this is his. We are currently working on creating some interiors. That sort of add-on would probably be released at a later time than the Prometheus one tho.

Testing multiple meshes and texture sets in one .NIF led me to this. There are more pictures in my Steam profile. And no, she won't be in the add-on  :P.

Collision meshes still resist me... Anyone?
