So, I was playing some Unreal Tournament games, and noticed a few species in the game, with obvious homages to the Predator.

Like the "Skaarj" and Gen Mo Kai race, whom have appeared in the series since it's inception. They both bare weaponry (including wristblades) similar to those of the Predators, and both feature "lock like appendages" like the Predators, aswell. Here's a few images;

So, feel free to contribute whatever you like. I find these kind of threads extremely entertaining.

The meat locker scene in Predator 2 was a complete ripoff influenced by the hive attack in Aliens.

There is a few homages of Predator in the Metal Gear Games.

For Example:

* There is a guy named "Predator" in Metal Gear 2 that looks like Dutch.

* The fight with The Fear in Metal Gear Solid 3 is a reference to Predator where he jumps tree to tree then makes him invisible and use a laser to target at snake just like a Predator does.

I can see that Hideo Kojima is a fan of a lot of 80's action movies

Oh, yea. Halo. Alot of Aliens and Predator Homage in these games. The "marines", and their drop ships. Their guns with the number counters. "The Flood" are similar to Aliens, in their parasitic nature. The Covenant Elites, with their 4 mandibles, and stealth cloaking. List goes on.

Sgt. Avery Johnson is almost identical in nature (and appearance) to Sgt. Apone.

In the first Halo game, on the deck of the ship, there is a sign on a bullatin board that says "missing cat answers to Jonesey" which is the same name as the cat in Alien.

The_G-Man

Star Trek Voyager. A race called The Hirogen are almost identical in behavior to the Predators.
Though they speak English and look more human in appearance etc.

They travel the galaxy hunting worthy prey and even display the skulls of their kills (which they call relics) on the bulkhead of their ships.

The Rachni in Mass Effect.  The creatures and the plot surrounding them were obviously inspired by Alien/Aliens.

The One and Only

The episode of the Disney series, Gargoyles, entitled "Eye of the Beholder" has a couple of influences from Predator 2. In the episode, series villian, David Xanatos, give his fiancee ,Fox, a piece of jewerly called the Eye of Odin as an engagement gift. The object turns out to possess mystical properties which turn her into a werewolf-like creature. Xantos learns what is happening to Fox, and tracks her down using a tracking device injected into her. In a suit of high tech battle armor he locates her at a meat packing plant looking for food. The hunt for Fox, along with the battle between the two was very much inspired by the slaughterhouse sequience in P2. Also, the Fox/werewolf roars, sound like they were recorded right from the Predator's very own in that episode as well.

on nickelodeon's tv show "Danny Phantom" theres an episode in wich a crossover movie is being made about three female monsters, thir clearly based on the terminator, freddy krugger and the Predator.
In one comic of the green lantern you can see a Predator.

Those sequences aren't even close to each other in any way besides the ideal of an ambush.

they look almost the same, you see what happens thru the camera like in Aliens.

So surveillance+ambush=ripoff?

Thats like arguing that the alien 3 POV is a ripoff of predator.
