This has been agony, especially with her mother's death the day after. Fisher's Leia was a revelation for me as a young boy; I hadn't seen a princess like that! She got right up in Vader and Tarkin's face, and was always a step ahead of the boys, who were charismatic in their own right -- even among the young hero Luke Skywalker and lovable rogue Han Solo she managed to be a distinct and integral piece of the film. She displayed intelligence, confidence, and class. And of course Fisher's post-Star Wars achievements should not be overlooked or forgotten. RIP.
