So the new rumor is that Neil Marshall, director of Dog Soldiers, The Descent, and Doomsday is in talks to direct the new Predators. Anyone else psyched!?

I ... don't know what to think.

On the one hand, love his movies.

On the other hand, I think he'd be better suited to the Alien movies.

But if he does direct, that's another plus to go see it.

As long as his direction is leaned more towards what he did with Dog soldiers and The Descent, rather than the hilariously bad Doomsday.

I'm all for Marshall. I can imagine him making the creature more scary. Give him the right budget and he won't give us shitty action either. He also knows how to shoot a rubber costume so that it doesn't look like a rubber costume. See: Dog Soldiers.

His films are more in line with Aliens (Dog Soldiers and The Descent), but the most of the first part of Dog Soldiers is a nice little ode to Predator, so I'm all for him.

Maybe we'll get some brittish guys going up against the girly haired alien? SAS versus Predator?  :D

I'm a fan of The Descent so this is good news to me.  Seems he can do both horror and action which is good news for Predator fans.

I love his movies, but I think he can easily handle a Predator type movie. Doomsday, and Dog Soldiers showed this. If this comes true I'll be incredibly happy.

WIN! The guy nows horror, is good on a small budget and nows how and when to use effects! He was my original choice for AvP anyway.

Brilliant choice! He just knows how to make something work, regardless of how much of a mish-mash of styles the film is.

But remember he hasn't been confirmed yet, just a rumor.

Oh, and this really should be front page news.

Ditto. A director like him could really shake up the franchise - in a good way.

I'll wait and see, all three of those films were ok. but none of them was ultra good either.
