Watching these, it's clear this guy has talent.  All these commercials have a film-like quality.  Most of them have a scifi high-tech feel.  This guy could make a great Alien film, there is no doubt about that.  It all depends on other factors, though.

I dont see how we can say that this movie would be good judging by this guys commercials. But, yeah, if Ridley trusts him, I dont know whats to worry about.

Maybe a good director for sci-fi action, but not so much for the Aliens franchise.

Interesting opinion. I think that is just a drawback from a commercial, where the whole idea is to catch your attention and make you remember less than a minutes worth of footage.
