To the folks who buy the larger figures by NECA, McF, Sideshow, etc... do you hang on to the boxes?

I used to, but only to store other stuff in it. I can't understand people who buy these things just to put them in storage for years on end.

Here's my collection, some of the pics are kinda small, but you can see what they are obviously.

That's a nice collection Titanosaur. Your shelves look similar to mine with the Gundam models and Godzilla figs sharing the shelves too  ;D

I do keep the boxes of my valued Sideshow and Palisades statues (and other stuff not related to Alien) stored in my basement, in huge plastic bags to keep them safe from dust and moisture.

Just in case, if I had to sell them in the future, 'cause the value of these limited edition figures is closely bound to the box they're sold in (boxes are numbered, just like the base of the statues).

I went to the mall to buy a pair of jeans earlier tonight. I walked out with this instead.

Old school. I brought one of those for my...14th (I think ?) birthday. First McFarlane figure I brought.

The best part was buying it for $60 when the sucker doesn't go for less than $150 USD on eBay, MISB.

That's the trouble with collecting toys. If you don't jump on something when you can, you miss out on the best deals.

Back with a little update; recently got this bad buy for just 7,50 Euros! They said the reason he was so cheap 'cause the box got damaged and the spear got lost. I never display figures in the box so I didn't mind but I did made my own re-paint of this weapon from a cheap toy I had when I was a kid. It used to be all one brown color and then I just added some paint to the blade, wrapped a couple of tiny ropes and cloth and made it all dirty and weatherd looking. It turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself :D Oh and the figure itself is awesome :D

Thanks :D (you too DoomRulz)  The background is a panoramic shot of L.A. I thought it would be fitting since he's from the Lost Tribe :)
