Alien: Blackout to be Delisted from App Stores by Month’s End

While we’ve had a pretty good track record with our favorite franchises as far as mobile games go, we haven’t had the best track record with them remaining available after release. Sadly one of our favorite mobile games, Alien: Blackout, is being sunset at the end of the month. Here is an official statement released to X by the game’s development team.

The game will remain available for those who have purchased it before, but given the nature of device updates and app compatibility, who knows how long that will last. If you haven’t picked it up already we’d recommend grabbing it now, especially for the current price tag.

Its unfortunate that these games that developers work hard to bring to us become unavailable for new players to explore. Even mobile games should be considered when it comes to game preservation and hopefully some of these mobile titles we’ve lost will see a re-release on PC or other platforms, something that’s happened occasionally such as with the mobile game Deus Ex: The Fall

Still we have things to look forward to in the gaming space, with another Alien title in the works from Survios and Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s developer Cold Iron studios announcement of a new mystery title.
