It’s been a big day for the upcoming Alien: Romulus, with the first official trailer and poster finally being shown to the world. To talk bit more about what we saw in the teaser, Director Fede Alvarez sat down with The Movie Podcast to go a bit more in depth on this moment for the film.
Check out the full interview below:
Alvarez discussed a number of things from relief to finally be able to share a bit about the film, consulting with James Cameron & Ridley Scott, his favorite shots, and the timeframe of the setting.
Also explained was the name of the film, Romulus, as that of one of two modules of the space station central to the film (the other being Remus of course). The name originating from Roman myth also has a dual-meaning with certain plot elements as well. The name of the space station itself is the Renaissance Station.
