YouTuber Schizofenik recently uploaded a new video in which he discovered a message hidden within the sparking effects of Predator 2! As the City Hunter’s cloaking malfunctions during the Slaughterhouse sequence, “marry me, Poynter” can be seen in sparks along the Predator’s wrist gauntlet!
Donald Poynter was credited for Spark Animation on Predator 2, so it’s likely we’re seeing him propose to his significant other (or perhaps, as Schizofenik points out, just proposing to himself). Donald also worked on the original Predator doing animation and rotoscope work. This isn’t something I believe is well known about Predator 2. Is this something you’ve spotted before? Let us know down below!

Update 25/09/2019 – Following Schizofenik’s video, one of his viewers was able to get in touch with Donald Poynter and find out what happened! It turns out she said “yes” and the couple are celebrating their 28th anniversary.
