Sigourney Weaver Joins The Cast of Aliens Expanded!

Director Ian Nathan has announced that iconic actress Sigourney Weaver has joined the cast of the 4-hour Aliens documentary Aliens Expanded! Hot on the heels of last month’s additions of director James Cameron, actor Paul Reiser and producer Gale Anne Hurd, Ripley – Sigourney Weaver herself will be interviewed for Aliens Expanded.

Commenting on Sigourney’s involvement, writer and director Ian Nathan has this to say (via Bloody-Disgusting):

“Having Sigourney Weaver join Aliens Expanded is a crowning achievement, Ripley is the heart of the film, the heart of the story, and Sigourney gave one of the defining performances of her career in Aliens. With her wonderful memories and thoughts, this documentary serves as the essential companion to the Alien universe. It is an honour to work with Sigourney, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what she brings to the documentary!”

Aliens Expanded will be released digitally on June 2024 while the physical merchandise will be shipped in July 2024.
