The Predator has now been given a new release date of August 3, 2018! After previously moving the release date of The Predator from March 2, 2018 to February 9, 2018, it does appear now that 20th Century Fox has delayed Shane Black’s Predator sequel by six months. The new release date of The Predator is August 3, 2018, first spotted on BoxOfficeMojo and this now appears to be official. Fox also confirmed the release dates of Deadpool 2 and New Mutants also due out in 2018.
The move means The Predator won’t be up against Marvel’s Black Panther movie which would have opened a week later. Ironically, the shift to August 3rd means it will be just before the killer shark movie Meg is released a week later. Originally, Meg and The Predator were to duke it out on the same day. The Predator is still currently filming in Vancouver, Canada and will finish filming in the middle of May.
