Two more set pictures from Prometheus have found their way online via Alien Prequel News:
The Giger design is even more obvious in this and the second image and it quite clearly looks like something you’d find with Space Jockey architecture. In other news, Neal Scanlan Studios have now been named as being attached to Prometheus to do creature effects.

This structure is in a cave of some sort. If you look at the picture released a few weeks ago you will see that this has been carved out of a cave. The derelect ship from alien was not connected to the rocks.

As for the 'entrance with a face' idea, it's really too dark to tell what that is, but I do believe a pair of hands form the arch and are definately holding something. :)

Looks like we'll see the original pyramid in this film. Could be that the Derelict landed on the pyramid and some type of shift of the basalt planes buried the pyramid under the ship so it couldnt be seen anymore.
Sandstorms were mentioned in the original script to Alien, so that could be an explanation of there being no pyramid seen in Alien (the egg chamber within the Derelict was actually the buried pyramid under the ship).

Yes, I've always thought it made more sense if the Pyramid was under the Derelict. It always bothered me how vast the canyon looks, which Kane descends into, in relation to the rest of the ship. Not saying it's impossible to be that way, but somehow it just never looked right to me.

Imagine if they used children again to portray the actors in certain scenes. That would double the set's size.

There's no referrence to LV426 that's true, but a few things do indicate Prometheus may go there. For example, the bridge where the original Space Jockey was discovered has been rebuilt, we know the Jockey ship eventually lands (or crashes) on that planetoid and a lot of action takes place inside it. Plus we know from the leaked pics there's a cave of some kind, possibly indicating the ship was headed there, but either way there's another world somewhere along the line, so if it's not LV426 where else could it be in terms of continuity!

One thing I picked up from the picture is the little urn like things. Unless someone can say what they are, they remind me of some of the early concept art with the urns in the pyramid (which the first couple of Giger designed facehuggers came out of) could these be what the "pre-huggers" live in?

The whole thing looks a bit too symetrical to be urnes or eggs for me, just part of the design of whatever we're seeing, it all seems a bit moulded and precise, not helped by the poor quality of the image.

The door looks a bit like a part of a facehugger (the top part). In the center, you have the spine and if you look to the sides of it, you see, what to me, looks like joints and "fingers" extending from them.

Oh God. This image has been caught on by many movie blogs as an "official movie still". This has pissed me off to the point where I emailed every one of them telling them that it is merely a SET PHOTO from Belgian-Dutch photographer Cederik Leeuwe..
I mean....modern helicopters...really? It should have caught on to them REALLY FAST that these are merely film crew members working around the location.
But if the expedition really does take place in modern day, then I will be pissed the f**k off because I'll be reminded of AVP.

Adding to speculation I read on another website that actor James Payton was possibly attached to the production.
Last night he tweeted this:QuoteOff we trot to the wrap party of that thing I did or indeed, didn't do. Not allowed to mention it, so I'm not.
