You may remember Gearbox showcased a trailer for Aliens Colonial Marines in September 2008. It was a private function and cam footage of it was leaked back then. The actual teaser trailer has now been leaked in high quality. It starts with a shot of a planet and then pans to Alien eggs with marines exploring in the background. A facehugger jumps out and the clip ends.

The trailer was produced by a company called Digic Pictures who seem to have done several game trailers. Thanks to 4H0-DMT, Ikarop and Xhan for the news.

Very cool teaser, it looks better now that we can actually see it.
I hope they do release information on it soon, rather than leaving us in the dark about it. Anything at all just so we know it IS still in production and this isn't just someone who got their hands on an original copy of the trailer.
Wow, I asked for a teaser in the comments for the CM release update and now there's a teaser... what do you guys want me to ask for next? ;)
Some screenshots.. :P
@MIDSCREWER a leaked alphabuild of thegame or maybe just a 4 minute gameplay trailer ;D
Yes finally! Also ign posted an article two days ago that said they would be announcing the release date "very soon" so this is all good.
8) jumped from my computer chair and the facehugger just scared the daylights out of me. real cool teaser trailer so far so good no other game trailer could do any better than that.
i absolutely love the sound effects! ;D ;)
f**k'n "A"!! We FINALLY get to see a decent quality version of this trailer! Badass. 8) I hope this turns out to be as epic as we're all hoping.
...or have been hoping for the past several years. lol
OMG DOUBLE RAINBOW ALL THE WAY!!! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!!!
Is this before or after aliens. ???
@ Abe: It takes place after the events of Alien 3 The Marines are sent in to investigate the disappearances of Ripley,Hicks, Burke and the rest of Marines from the doomed Lv-426 mission!
8) sounds very set in stone. great story line. Thanks Blaze.
So that means that they didn't kill all the aliens and the colony didn't get destroyed.
The colony did get destroyed! But the derelict spacecraft was in fact shielded from the nuclear blast by the mountains "past the Ilium range" So that mans the ship is still there with its dangerous cargo! The abandon USS Sulaco might also carry more hidden eggs from the alien queen that Ripley fought.
Man this game is gonna be Awesome-sauce
It looks amazing but after SEGA dropped support for AVP, im really unsure about this title.
Oh Can't wait for this game!
dont care anymore, SEGA failed to support AvP for ps3/360, why should they care for this. and i will believe in this game when i see it, have seen no real footage or any news yet. this is turning into a duke nukem forever joke, but with SEGA behind it still does not give me high hopes anymore, not after what they did with AvP
cant wait for this to come out. i actually enjoyed Aliens vs Predator so this should be just as good.
Yeah I'm KEEEEEEEEEEEN!

But according to the A:R novelization, the Derelict got destroyed in the nuclear blast and that's why the scientists had to clone Ripley. Unless the Derelict gets destroyed in Aliens Colonial Marines on a top secret mission the A:R scientists know nothing about and so they assumed it got destroyed in the blast in Aliens.
The producers/developers wont be taking existing EU into account while making their own EU production. Novelizations aren't canon for the majority.
Yeah, but it was also somewhat logically implied in the film otherwise, why couldn't the A:R people simply get Aliens from the Derelict? ???
Because then how could all this EU material fit in? How would Female War have happened? How could the AvP1 marine campaign happened? Wouldn't be possible if the Derelict was destroyed.
Good point about the Derelict in the AVP1 marine campaign. I guess the real question here is how did it survive both explosions? :D As for how Female War happened; there was the "Great Deletion" that is mentioned in AVP Civilized Beasts that could have helped humans forget about the Aliens. Also in Aliens More Than Human, a colony of humans had no idea what Aliens looked like in the post-invasion years; they had heard of creatures inhabiting Earth, but they never bothered to look deeper into it so when Aliens showed up at their doorstep, they had no clue they were the same creatures that had invaded their home planet. I guess deep space colonizing is really that big a thing in the future to make people forget what happens to their home planet. Also, you'd be surprised how many people there are in both the real world and the fictional world who don't know what are seemingly the most obvious things:

;)
I was referring to Ripley returning to the Derelict in Female War.
Good point, I'll have to reread that to remember what happened.
Facehugger sound is from Alien. Nice touch.
Holy shit, this is awesome. The Facehugger original squeal was a clever and unexpected touch, noticed it as well.
Can't wait to hear more information.
I remember when this trailer was first leaked. :D
It was a looooooong time ago.
...
I think I need some shock treatment now.

I've recently reread it. From the perspective of the comic, it looked like Ripley was telling the story of her and the Derelict through a flashback. However, since the Ripley in Female War was a synthetic, it could have been a false memory. Fans could also compare the comic version to the novel version; Ripley's meeting on the Derelict never occurred in the novel. As in the case Alien 3, fans'll have to choose which version is more concise. I think it'd be the novel version.
