Not a whole lot is new, but he did mention AvP:

"It's not Alien versus Predator," the director insists. "Maybe one day we will get there in an elegant way, but not in a gimmicky way where we're just taking all the action figures and smashing them together. Maybe we get there if that's where the stories aspired to go and they make things better for each other."

I don't remember a Predator movie getting this much attention. Or am I misremembering things? Did The Predator get this big on marketing?

I feel like if this were    in a different era we'd be having Jon Davis saying "f**k yeah we're doing alien versus predator soon!"  But were in this new coy era.

Yeah, as soon as you set a predator movie in the future and it interacts with elements of the alien universe, you really can't go back to modern day earth for an AVP movie.
