I didn't feel motivated enough to watch more than 2 episodes of The Midnight Club, back in the day. However I absolutely loved The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass & Poe stuff. 8)

It will probably end up having as much to do with Poe as Hill House had to do with that book.

Briefly thought this was another Game Of Thrones spin-off but actually looks quite interesting.

I watched the entire series. For those of you who decide to watch the first two episodes I will warn you: Don't watch any of the promotional material or trailers. Go in blind. :3c That's all I'll say.

Anyone else like early 90s Nine Inch Nails?

This was great overall. Just so insane and perverse, with some interesting uses of Poe stories (a few of which I wasn't familiar with).

I really dug it too. Midnight Mass remains my favorite of these shows, and Hill House is probably a step above this one (though I haven't seen that one since release and should probably refresh myself on it one of these days), but this is on par with or perhaps a bit better than Bly Manor.

Felt weird seeing Poe transplanted to a contemporary setting like this and I still maintain that these stories/poems work best in a Gothic, period setting, but I do overall quite like what Flanagn and his team have done here. There's a sort of trashy soap opera angle to the overall dynamic of the central Usher family and the way they interact that I wasn't expecting, and I found that actually really worked in the show's favor.
