Q
It's really starting to get on my tits. Just continually falling over. I've got stands on each foot, I get them setup in positions where they stay stable, and then they just fall over. Joints are starting to feel loose. Any solutions?

Had that issue too and as you say the weight of the figure often makes the joints loose and make the legs to bend... After some trials I found ghe best solution besides using glue... is to get a figure stand, necas own has so far worked like a charm: neca dynamic pose stand.

Have some pictures of my try eith one in this thread:

Night and day difference: the ones you get with ex dog alien are tiny and cant be adjusted in height, width lenght etc and the hook is immobile, the dynamic stand is way bigger, modular and can be adjusted in height, lenght, how far away the figure shall stand and the hook can be adjusted to fit almost any figure/size.

Swedish site but has some english text:

Works pretty well and looks good!  Now to slowly buy more...

How long have you had yours judge? RidgeTop's lady told me she had one that fell apart after 2 months.

Oldest one 3 months. The guy who recommended me them 6 months.
What I reckon: if youuse the longest arm and have a heavier figure and its bended outwards from the base, especeilly with the base arm elevated to max height: it might be too much for it. Use the arm and the figure as close to the base and not fully raised and it should be fine.
Check the plastic part going up from the base, the one that controls the height, noticed that is the weakest spot and not always 100% glued together, just glue it properly together and it should not risk breaking. So far on my 6 stands no such issues.

Are the newer figures better with this? My worst faller was Hudson from 2013 but he had lots of joints, including movable toes (which was a bit too much).
Dammit Hudson!

Update: So far none of my display stands have broken, they are all sturdy and holding up well, even the one I use on my queen alien.Checked with my friends and only one had an issue with his and he used the sucktion cup part which lost grip and fell off the table, the normal stand so far no issues.

A combination of the 1-peg foot stands, posing them against the shelf wall, using their tails for support, and trying to avoid loosening the joints by bending them as rarely as possible:

So far, so good. They've all stood for a few weeks now.

I'm really trying to avoid the waist clamps. They make the figures look like they're recovering from a back injury. I always think of George McFly in BTTF2:

Same. I ended up buying another 4 of them, and they're all happy and fine. And my Aliens are still stood. Expensive but they're working fine!
