We have just uploaded the 98th episode of the Alien vs. Predator Galaxy Podcast (right-click and save as to download)! Our penultimate episode of 2019 sees Corporal Hicks, RidgeTop and Xenomorphine reconvene to discuss the recently released documentary, Memory: The Origins of Alien!

Birthing Monsters, Review of Memory: The Origins of Alien - AvP Galaxy Podcast #98

We discuss whether or not we learnt anything new from the documentary, the academic commentary on Alien, and as experts at tangents we discuss the documentaries own guilt in that regard, and plenty more! Please bare with some echo on Xenomorphine’s comments for the first 5 or 10 minutes or so.

If you haven’t already, you can check out RidgeTop’s written review of Memory here, and his interview with the documentary director Alexandre O. Philippe is available to read or listen to in our interviews section!

Nice podcast gentlemen. I was on the fence ordering a copy weeks ago, but ultimately decided to hold back. After listening to the Podcast I'm glad I did. The same things I was cautious about like the interpretationsal stuff was reaffirmed so thank you much! I'll eventually get around to streaming it but now I suspect it would have just gathered dust on my home video shelf after its initial viewing.

And as always, it's good to listen to Aaron and his two tools!  :D

Quality discussion about the documentary. If the opportunity presents itself, I'll watch it. RidgeTop, good luck with your art history classes. If they're rigorous, you should have plenty to read and write.  ;D

I'll give it a listen, but apparently my copy isn't arriving until the 30th so, it's going to be a minute.

Thanks to everyone who has commented so far! I'm curious to hear from people who have also seen the documentary.

I just watched it, despite the resuse, repeating and the artsy guy being naff in places, otherwise I enjoyed it, felt like a reunion of sorts.

I thought it was good. I own the Blu-ray version of it and also sit in the SDCC 2019 Panel for Memory The Origins of Alien. Got the poster they passed out to everyone and actually had it autographed by all the panel members before they left the stage. Was really excited about that!
Will try to post a pic of the autographed poster for all of you.

Haven't seen the documentary - but enjoyed podcast a lot. Just for the fact it wasn't completely bashing it like PO guys did .
