Shaw is annoying? May be (not for me), but annoiyng=emotion. Daniels=emotionless (may be it's good for sci-fi).

Shaw promised us the answers. Daniels - no.
I think Daniels is good, but Shaw more charismatic.

I like Shaw by a slim hair for acting her butt off, it looked like she was more into it. I like Daniels also, but poor dialogue in 2nd half except ending (She did make an awesome face once discovering it was David).

Not to be an apologist for a movie that I openly dislike, but I imagine that Daniels' emotions may have been in a state of shock after watching her husband broiled alive in his pyrotube.

Like a regular crew - Cole, Ledward, Ankor etc.

When Daniels cries in her cabin - it is so unnatural. Chris Oram is better, for comparison. His drama and emotions are more natural, authentic. His excitement about Karine and shock after her death is natural.

Hysterics in the cryobay, crying in her cabin, crying with Walter in the terraforming bay, crying at her husbands funeral, cracking the shits trying to contact Tennessee...  "emotionless".

Maybe I put it badly - her emotions look unnatural, false. I'm more sympathetic to Chris Oram.
