The Kurgan

Titel says it all.

Who do you think would be the best candidate to helm a potential new Alien, Predator or AVP movie and why?

To maybe get some different names in here, if your choice is Ridley Scott or James Cameron, please also give a second choice... or a third one if first and second are those two  ;D

Alien - Villeneuve

If that's the best AVP can do, we're better off going without. Conversely, DV would never touch AVP with a ten foot pole, Honestly -I can't imagine any major Director would realistically, you need a mid tier Director looking to prove themselves to tackle the subject, or a team used to working ensembles with bigger studio goals in mind.

Russo Bros would be perfect for AVP, but absolutely not for individual Alien or Predator films.

Danny Boyle

Wouldn't that automatically include Cillian Murphy?

Yes. ;D

That's not exactly a bad thing. Cillian Murphy isn't too shabby. I'd love to see Danny Boyle take a stab at an Alien film. He was offered Resurrection, wasn't he?

I'd also be quite interested in an Alex Garland Alien film.

Alex Garland wouldn't be a bad choice, I'd obviously like to see one of the twenty I have listed more though, hopefully a balance of men and women Directors. I'm 100% onboard for Cillian Murphy.

Local Trouble

So...Cillian Murphy and Sylvia Hoeks?

Nightmare Asylum

Robert Eggers could be fun for an Alien film.

Indeed, imagine the tension.

I just want to see Ridley Scott do an honest to God alien movie again .

Why brother? And I don't mean that antagonisticly.

To me Ridley already did it. Reached the mountaintop! And when he repeated it at the end of Covenant, it felt uninspired? Sort of a going-through-the-motions, in my humble opinion. So why have him go at it again?

I'd rather have new, hungry, inspired talent!
