But also the chestbursting of Oram happens right after he awakens.

So? Why's that a problem?
Are you saying if someone sleeps through most of the day/night they can avoid being chestbursted?

Also to be fair towards Covenant (no matter how I don't want to be fair towards this pile of shit), we need to say Kane was chestbursted not a long time after awakening.

With Alien 3 and Alien 4 etc we're used to the chestbursting taking longer but actually if we focus on the first movie a guy just has the time to take a quick breakfast before saying goodbye.

So someone awakening only to get chestbursted makes complete sense.

I'd like to add;
As with Alien³ -it's a Queen so, rules are out the window
and the Ox/Dog's TTB (Time To Burst) isn't incongruent whatsoever with Alien, Aliens or AC, IMO.

With Alien Resurrection, they're clones and direct descendants of a Queen that we know is genetically "impure" -so, dismissed.

Best estimate on Alien 3 is Spike was hugged sometime shortly after the EEV crash (0600).  Everyone is back in lockup by 2200 so we can say the cremation (an Alien birth) was around 2100.
