Hi guys,

Ridley, or screenwriters actually got the idea to use the Ozymandias reference on this very forum.
Its either that or some huge coincidence.

Most likely just coincidence. By June 2012 Ridley Scott was already busy developing the "Moses" script which would later become known as "Exodus: Gods and Kings" which specifically focuses on Ramesses II and his relationship with Moses.

Odds are ten to one that Scott would have read Ozymandias (which is about Ramesses II aka Ozymandias) while in the early stages of developing Exodus.
