So a bit of sleuthing online has found references to Liz May Brice playing a character named "Selene Farouska" in AVP.

Can anybody confirm where this name comes from? Is this just a name randomly given to one of Weyland's scientists in the sacrificial chamber?

Note that the wiki pages I have found about her appear to feature photos of two different actresses:

Both are wrong.

The first one is Rousseau.
The second one is Liz May Brice pictured as someone who is not in AvP (the only women on the expedition were Lex and Rousseau.)

Liz May Brice plays the supervisor at the Weyland Tracking Station.  Though from memory I think the character of Langer was male in the novelisation.

The second photo is her in Anderson's Resident Evil.

Gotcha! So we chalk it down to crossed wires!

Wonder where they got the name from though haha

The Cruentus

Interesting, I wasn't even aware of this page on our wiki and as far as I know that character in AVP was unnamed. The picture is definitely from RE, she played the medic in it.

SM

Had a look and Langer in the book is indeed male, so I don't know who came up with 'Kate'.

The Cruentus

It wasn't Paul was it? Because the only other source other than the novel on that page is one that is citing Paul Anderson/avp so maybe he said it in the commentary or BTS. I will ask Leigh about it as I think he cited those sources.

Checking the history of the page, the name was changed because it was assumed the character ullbeck says ""Hey! Hey, Kate! Come here!" and the citation was the movie itself.

Having just quickly checked that part of the movie, he only says Hey, hey, hey, come here.
Looks like the page is going to need to be discussed

This could be one of those weird games of telephone that lead to this anonymous mechanic from Prometheus being credited as "Ray" on certain wikis with no real sources. The nearest I can guess is that somebody on that wiki randomly gave him the name of one the mercenaries from the Alien: Engineers script.
