The 05 movie will be better in movie terms most likely, but actually having Hell and not a bunch of mutants makes this a better Doom movie.

There's only two types of DOOM movies I want to see.

1 - Something that's just completely over the top in its action/gore/lack of f***s just like the newer games, starring someone like The Rock or Terry Crews as Doom Guy.

2 - Something more like Doom 3 where there is more emphasis on horror and has a similar tone to Event Horizon.

This movie isn't either of those things.

I'm not going to lie, it's a terrible Doom movie, but I do enjoy it. If you forget it Doom related it's a decent Sci Fi Horror flick.

I enjoy the first film - sure it's not Doom but it's a good fun, brainless movie elevated mainly due to the strong leads.

I always imagined the 05 DOOM movie was a prequel to DOOM 3
