It's not something I'd recommend doing, personally.
If you do want to try and remove it, immersing it in hot water for about 5-10 minutes *might* evenly heat and adequately soften the material to allow you to remove and replace the heads.
No matter what you choose to do, you will risk ruining the figure or disfiguring it permanently.
