Yes & ACM itself.

Cold Iron's Alien game was announced May of this year, it still has a long way to go
And a helluva lot longer before it qualifies for development hell.

Alien should be survival horror, period.

Aliens should also be that and a tactical squad based FPS.

Local Trouble

Maybe someday Randy will get another chance at the franchise.

No thank you.

Local Trouble

But maybe ACM was a good learning experience for him.

You'd hope so. So he doesn't get caught lying a hundred times again.

We'd need an indication that he learned anything, though.

If I'm being genuine here, if he somehow got the reins for another Aliens project, I'd be less than amused but in the end I'd probably buy it because that's the kind of Alien fan I am. I've bought enough stuff that's *way* worse than Colonial Marines, and I got enough genuine enjoyment out of Colonial Marines, that if I kept my expectations rock-bottom I'd probably have fun with Colonial Marines 2. And there's a ton of fans, casual or otherwise, who will flock like a moth to the flame whether they choose to publicly acknowledge it or not. Colonial Marines was still a financial success.

And that's what happens with, like, any AAA video game release. I can't think of the last time a AAA game did poorly unless it *REALLY* f**ked up and screwed its player base.

I am part of the problem. :P

Local Trouble

Does this mean you're buying new games again?  Did you catch up with your backlog?

I make special exceptions for certain franchise titles.

But no, the backlog is never ending. :(

A good backlog never does.

How's yours?

Alittle on the slim side at the moment. My mechanic's had nothing but bad news for me lately, so yeah. Times are tight.

Local Trouble

You could probably pick up the Borderlands games on the cheap.

Already got the triple pack on ps3. Love em.

Just because somebody screws up and says it's turkey when it's actually ham, doesn't mean I won't eat the sandwich. I just won't trust them to make my turkey sandwiches anymore.
