References in AvP

I thought it might be a cool idea to start a thread to list all the references in AvP to other Alien/Predator related things.

Off the top of my head -

*The character Verheiden is named after Aliens comic author Mark Verheiden.
*The satallite PS12 is also in the Predator novel Cold War - In the novel, the satallite detects a heatbloom in Dibera from a crashed Predator ship.
*The scene in the tunnels is a homage to the vent scene in Alien.

There's tons more, I just can't remember them all at the moment. Go a head and throw them up.

-Dialogue. Verheiden says "You ugly son of a bitch." Lex says: "You're one ugly mother..."

 These little things IMHO did not hurt.

It was other crappy dialogue, and forced sounding lines, poor execution, the PG-13 stuff that hurt viewing the movie.

That and it was way too short of a movie, and very rushed, scene to scene with no transition.

The references were alright.

- Little drinky bird in the satellite relay station.
- The shot of Lex climbing the ledge after Sebastian gets taken is identical to the shot of Ripley coming up the ladder in Alien.

On the Predator ship, the graphic display is reflected on a Predator helmet, a la Mother booting up in Alien.

You could fill threads if you counted the ideas stolen from the novel "AVP: Prey" as references.

The shot of Lex's feet and as she enters the breeding chamber with Miller's camera on the floor is a reference to Ripley finding Newt's locator.
