I hope they at least play a few notes of some of the themes from Prometheus, or variations/progressions of them.  That's all they really need.  It would be kind of odd if they referenced Alien so much but not Prometheus whatsoever.

^ Yeah, agreed. I have a feeling it's not happening, though.

They probably want to move away from Prometheus as far as possible, right now.

I think that we're in for an opening that has the same sound as the theme from prometheus, and opening to the weyland-david conversation. then we flip to the covenant ship with the 'covenant theme' in it.

That would be nice. I'm pretty sure Weyland has his own theme in Prometheus so it would be cool if he used that.

I hope not. I'd even settle for some cough and you'll miss it Prometheus "stings", just to keep everything nice and tidy.

Hell yeah, I was thinking of that track too. Sounds so ominous and mysterious, I love it.

Yup, agreed. I really hope he did that, or something like it. Would be a missed opportunity if he didn't.

as for the prometheus music;

in the prologue piece with shaw, i could clearly recognise prometheus' theme. let's hope it's present in the movie too.
