Yeah.  That's the map.  The raw .ed file should have every Brush textured in either red or white striated textures denoting the Detail values.

Those videos were great for getting setup but incredibly basic. I was hoping for more stuff like about actually getting rooms built, doors, lights, putting the prefabs in and etc.

I think The_One, has vids like this somewhere (I'll have to ask him)

Brilliant. Thanks.

Above is a load of old tutorials, .ed files, tricks and tips from some old names.

There is also one way to find what command line options you can use in dedit that will work with avp2 but you need to have a copy of the avp2 source code, a touchy subject i know. But reference to commands are in the source such as the LMgridsize one (this is referenced in the docs but the point still stands) as well as all commands and functions you can send via triggers. Its a lot of effort to find and dig through the source and i've only see snippets of it around the net, not the entire thing but it does reference commands avp2 can use.

You can also lookup the tutorials / discussions / source code for No one lives forever, it used a slightly more up to date version of the lithtech engine avp2 used but did use dedit as the editor, you can glean some nuggets of knowledge from those as well. AVP2 was the Talon version and the later ones used Juniper if i remember correctly.

I got started learning DEdit with modmaker's tutorials back in the day. I wouldn't have got so immersed in DEdit if it wasn't for him.

Yeah, me too! That, and then the body of works by Red Riot (the unknown!)

Necromancy, or necromancy (from the greek νεκρομαντεία, nekromanteía, composed of νεκρός "dead" and μαντεία "prediction") is a form of divination, where practitioners (called necromancers) seek to summon spirits and deceased.
certainly the spirit of avp2 it's immortal but we are talking about a dead game ?
yes probably yes ,but we are also talking about a form of art.
AVP2 be an old canvas and dedit an old paintbrush.

question is:
why not bring this art form in a modern context?
a new table a new brush
the same book in a new era

Big things have small beginnings  8)

I always loved Widebieste's way of locking a layout by using two different "trim" textures color  :D
I'm such a fan of the pattern  ;)

I got scared, I closed DEdit the second it opened
Joke still stuck at the night club.
Not sure if it's the architecture fault or if I'm already having a problem with the size of it.

I'm trying to count the units of all my crazy ideas.
To see if they can cohabit.

But I think I may have made the room too small.

There's still plenty of work to do and I got so little time in January.
February should be more relaxed.

That's the same reaction most people have when they open it up for the first time.

I didn't realized how awkward after new year it would be to say
"still stuck at the nightclub".
Thanks for bringing that up Lucifero

The problem is more about introducing some secretion hive things without saying too much.

I hate triangles in DEdit, no matters the technique, I just HATE IT.
