Danny is so generous with Alien: Covenant talk. I'm not liking hearing how gory this thing will be.

Loving all things he's been saying, can't wait.

Ha. I love that comment about the cast dinners.

QuoteIt was nuts. The idea that he trusted me to be a part of this thing is something that I'm still blown away by. I'm not allowed to talk a lot about what happens in it, but it is a straight horror movie. I've never been on something that intense before, with that level of visual effects and gore. I've also never been in a movie where people just straight up die like that. When I started the movie, the cast would go to these dinners and it was like twenty people. Then each week, the numbers dwindled and it became less and less people at the table.

One year away....couldn't it be for this November, shoot... I wonder how gory this will be, hope it's done right.

I'm sure any gore will be handled well with Scott at the helm, he isnt really a gore hound.

On that note, I want it to have some gore, visceral, like in Alien. Obviously we don't want slasher flick gore, and I wouldnt think we would get that from scott.

Mr. Clemens

Yes, Scott will keep it classy.

BishopShouldGo

True. It'll be on the level of Kane's death, surely. A lot of gore but in a brief time, no lingering or being exploitative.

Vermillion

CGI.  Heavy

whiterabbit

I hope the gore is more practical... that cgi stuff still doesn't get the job done. So straight up horror movie... I guess that mean less exploring and more a-killing. Although I wonder how much body horror vs bloody horror he is speaking about.

Nostromo

I'm sure there's going to be some heavy exploring where they're going!

I'm of the same thoughts. Alien had gore but it was intense gore, not gore porn. I'm hoping that's the same way that he'll be handling it here. Not gore for the sake of it but as a punctuation.

I am loving all these comments about it being horror though.

He'll definitely be exploring. That's the whole point to his prequels.

Whiskeybrewer

The comments on the cast dinners were perfect, maybe there's footage they can time lapse lol. Well it does seem that Ridley tried to film as much in order as he could then.

Maybe McBride goes out like Parker

whiterabbit

Considering he's able to witness the cast dwindle, that must mean he survives through a fair amount of the film. Boo! Boo! Spoilers! :P

Corporal Hicks

He's gonna be our Parker.
