Hey, good catch, that plus the hard shadow on the foot next to it making me think it was actually inside the hole.

End of may? Sounds awesome!

I changed the outside area to a winter wonderland!

Nice. Are you going to add some falling snow?

Did you hand sculpt that terrain or import it from a 3D package?  Looks great either way.

Hey,

Looks smooth Psy! I'm loving the fluffy look of the snow, it feels very much like there's volume.

Cya!

Thanks man. It's entirely done in DEdit. There is a light snow falling but screenshots don't pick it up very well.

Sorry to bring this up here, but can you fix that floating bug in the second to last level of Fear 3? I wanted to replay the fear campign, but encountered this bug again. Thanks!

Hello, can I ask if this is still in development

I've had technical problems with this game and how it runs on my PC, which has really put a dent into its production. AvP2 is in serious need of patching for modern hardware (I would love it if there was a steam release for this reason). From what I can gather, a lot of the core mechanics (objects, scripts, animations, etc) are tied to framerate, which is utterly daft. If you're running a monitor with a high refresh rate and displayport, then the game will run faster than it's intended unfortunately.

I tried capping the framerate to 60 using dxtory, but it felt unnaturally jerky. So I ended up hooking up another monitor, which is 60Hz, and it feels a lot smoother on that. so I can at least test my AvP2 maps properly now at the normal game speed.

Anyway...

Jaw-dropping as always Psykore !
I'm glad to hear you're back at it and still pushing.

AVP2 could use some fixes with modern hardware that's for sure !

It could do with a nice Steam re-release like Classic but we all know how likely that is.  :'(

But this sure looks pretty!!

That's mostly done. Mainly just have to re-texture the levels. Most of the AI has been re-worked and levels adjusted here and there. Fear 3 bores me, though, which is why I never get round to properly updating it. I'll get there eventually, haha.

By the way, I need to give props to whoever did the dgvoodoo wrapper for this game. I wish I'd known about it long before - would have saved me some grief. I think a thread with the dgvoodoo fix needs to be a mandatory sticky thread.
