In my opinion, it was. Every design modification they made was bad. Head size, mandibles, mouth, eyes, muscle mass, all changed to make them look more human. The new look had SHIT written all over it.

Its funny, cause i heard that the people that did the creature effects for avp said that they were
adding some more character in scar and that they didnt want to tamper with the design too much.

Well guess what? THEY DID. They didnt just tamper with it, they F**ked it up.
