I killed quite a few on my first run. Mainly because they acted stupid/unrealistic and I couldn't tolerate them.

On my first playthrough I didn't kill anyone. The only "bad" thing I did was release a working Joe which then went on a killing spree, I felt a tiny bit bad about that, but no much.

Facilitating the deaths of humans by others, be it the Alien or the Joes, doesn't negate the trophy.

Yeah lol, apparently Amanda is too much of a do-gooder to kill people herself but getting other things to kill people, she is inexplicably okay with. Bleh.

I tried going for the Mercy or Prudence trophy, but ended up using the cattle prod on a guy. Then because I thought that counted as killing someone I took out another guy with a gun or wrench or something.

The only legit way to kill people and still get that trophy in this game is to get someone else to do the killing for you; use noisemakers and flares to get your enemies to kill each other and somehow the moral math will add up in Amanda's conscience.

Sorry for the slow reply - no it didn't, I still got the achievement. I haven't tested it but I expect that luring the Alien to people also doesn't count as a kill.

Correct. You can use Joes/the Alien as a 'blunt instrument' to butcher as many people as you like. So long as you don't literally land the killing blow on a human yourself, you'll get the award.

Negative, they do act realistically the only part of that statement that is true is that you couldn't tolerate them.

Human or Android alike I pretty much went all out Laurence Fishburne on them. They have what I need, and if I want it i'll take it from whoever I can, whatever I can, whenever I can!!!

From what I've read some people think the stun baton doesn't kill but it actually does. Did you use stun baton on humans?

I actually died a few times the second playthrough I'm currently doing on hard, got through it though with some persistence. What difficulty are you doing?
