Jackie Brown

"I ain't gettin' in no got damn dirty ass trunk for no minute!"

The last Tarantino movie I really loved.

I've enjoyed his films since well enough, but they've become way too self-indulgent and I've never felt inclined to watch any of them a second time.

Berberian Sound Studio
Brilliantly done film. Trippy as hell in places. Toby Jones is great

Flash Gordon (1980)

"Who wants to live forever? DIVE!"

Uh, wrong Queen movie, Brian. Although, reading that Hodges and De Laurentiis considered getting Pink Floyd to do the soundtrack, I have to wonder what that would have looked like. Especially since this was Wall era Floyd we're talking about.

And it shares a director with Get Carter? Man, that is one weird career trajectory.

Better if stayed prisoner in a lost universe.

I can't see it working with a Floyd soundtrack at all. It was right smack bang in angry-Rog era. Flash Gordon is cheez and what Queen did suits it perfectly.

Yeah, this was around the time that Roger opened an album with a line that compared his dead dad to Jesus, so it's for the best they got Queen.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Lots of good year one stuff. Still worth a watch.

Love the choir in the opening credits. It almost sounds Latin.  I need to look up what they're saying.

It's the names of the production staff backwards, I think.

Whoa, really? That's crazy!  :D
