Alien Vs Predator 2 Link?

Unfortunately Lithech of Talon doesn't exist anymore and shadow of morodor is using the newest version of Jupiter Extended.
We tried to buy years ago before WB swallowed the engine to Monolith so we could "Improve" the avp2 engine.
They say there were sorry that they couldn't provide it to us (unlikely to be a copyright issue though) but could give us both Jupiter and Jupiter Extended for a fair price.
I'm pretty sure they don't even have the engine anymore and with all the complication to who belong this game with all the developers and publisher that have disappeared and been bought or swallowed by another company I'm not even sure anyone can hunt you without having another party coming in saying they want their share if they manage to put someone in justice or just try to oppose one major just to play with it.

As long you don't post it in front page of AVPG and you remain silent about it, I see no trouble.
Just to be cautious, use private message instead but there shouldn't be much troubles.

Lithtech 2.4 is long gone... deleted no doubt... but how much is Jupiter?

Hi everybody!
New user here.

I've finished the three campaigns and loved the game, and had a few hilarious LAN games.
As I found out about the Master Server patch, I *had* to try it... but it doesn't work for me.

Or better: it does, but I can't choose a character: whatever my selection, I always get Frosty (Harrison).
In the scores tab I'm defined with the correct race, but I have Harrison's HUD, Harrison's weapons, Harrison's body when I die. (Tested all this in a LAN game alone)
I've tried to join a Internet game, which succeeded, but I couldn't see other players in the scoreboard nor find them... left shortly after, no point breaking someone else's game.

I even tried reinstalling the game using strictly the files uploaded to MEGA from this same thread, with no change whatsoever.

I can't understand what's wrong... installing just the base game seems to work fine in LAN: I can play as whatever I select.
After installing all the patches, though, I become Harrison at the start of every multiplayer game.
Singleplayer seems to be fine.

To install the patches, I did, in this order (and using the files from the archive on MEGA):
1-Installed the game
2-Installed the 1.0.9.6 patch
3-Installed the sp map patch
4-Installed the mp map patch
5-Installed the master server 2.0 patch
6-Made sure that in Options the checkbox "Always specify (etc.)" is ticked
7-Made sure that the command line option just above the checkbox contained "-rez AVP2P5.rez", without the quotes
8-Started the game
9-Host Multiplayer LAN
10-Choose Alien Drone

Aaaaand... I'm Harrison. 

Now, I think I can live just fine without trying out AVP2 multiplayer... but since I loved the Alien movies, and liked the Predator 1 and Aliens versus Predators movies, and like this game too, I'd like to at least be able to try it online.

I'm playing in Windows XP sp3, fully updated, and can run games like League of Legends and Skyrim, which as far as I know should mean that the problem does not lie with DirectX or Drivers needing an update.

Any help, please? 

UPDATE: I can choose (and get) a character up to right before installing the Master Server Patch 2.0
Since on Google I can't find anyone with a similar problem, I guess that I'm doing something wrong...

UPDATE2: Removing AVP2P5.rez solves the problem, but I've got the... "slight impression" that this is akin to uninstalling the Master Server patch. 

Update3: Tried installing in another laptop (Windows 7): same problem.
Started a LAN game between the two, and got a Deathmatch between an Harrison Drone and a Predator Drone; on both machines, both players were Harrison, and worked fine... but in the scoreboard they were an Alien and a Predator, as they were supposed to be in the game too.

Enabling the Life Cycle option, the Harrison Drone spawned as a Facehugger, could Facehug the Harrison Predator, chestburst, and grow up to be a proper, actual, Alien Drone! 
Nope, not Predalien. A Drone. 

Update4: Seems it wasn't broken after all!

Just press F1 while playing, and select a race.

file work for me and its clean
i have original disks in italian lenguage but i use a pirtate version english. (for multiplayer its more stable)
but i have no idea if we  can talk of danger zone here.

Since you can't get the games anymore, I don't really see the harm in supplying the links.

These are the original ISO files. You need something like Daemon Tools to mount them to a virtual drive.

Language files aren't a priority. If you're online, you're generally expected to understand English.

if you like play only multiplayer true lenguage its not prior but..
but if you like play single player  in your native lenguage its a different story.

You can't realistically have every language in there and there's only a very small amount of Italian speakers.

Only the letters work, but all the signs are from a QWERTY symbol.

Funnily, I do admit to prefer the french voices over of Rykov and Eisenberg.
The mix was also better for some unknown reasons.
The font were awful though. They edited deliberately the PCX files to re-arrange the letters to the keyboard and made changes to the font (like big stupid change)
It was ugly.

I'm talking about the keyboard and common setup in English lenguage but that is different from European keyboard  and american same for French, or Italian.

use the taunt in this case with the French language.
but the keyboard and the menu of the game will  in English / American.
It would be nice a master server patch 2.0 available in more languages.
but I think it would take a long time.
