I had to sell a lot of old warhammer stuff to source that cash on short notice tbh. It's mostly bulk buying basic troopers, both to finish my projects and have fodder for rpg/skirmish custom stuff in future.

Likely to start with finishing my boardgame predators. I don't want any to be clones but i'll be doing more than one of a few things so it's kitbash o'clock. Gotta suss out bases though, the guy i was getting my close-enough-to-unicast ones from is presently incommunicado so i'm scrambling. I like the microartstudios ones, i've used a few, but they're shockingly expensive and would require hours of sanding to remove the bevel lip/extra height.

I've got the hive one. It does a good enough job but i wouldn't want to use one for anything that's supposed to have straight lines or level surfaces. Also i had a terrible time dealing with the company, not in a hurry to do business with them again unfortunately.

That's still a pretty great haul honestly. I was tempted by machiko coz of the 2-for-1 but tbh, i don't want any named characters in my stuff until they earn nicknames in combat like true (toy) soldiers.

Except for Specimen 6, which i'm thinking of as a generic turbo warrior rather than the game character.

I got her because she doubles as an extra unit for both marines and Predators

I decided to save money by not buying any Predators because they're all unique and use the same size basis, so it's easy enough to just use the ones from the core set and HLZ as stand-ins for any other kind of Predator. If only I could've done the same with the Aliens!
