"New" doesn't mean that it has to be current, just new to your ears that you really enjoy!

Mine is "Talk Talk"s last two albums:
Spirit Of Eden (1988)
Laughing Stock (1991)

Both albums are simply amazing. How did it take so long for me to discover these pieces of audio art?!?!

Let's hear yours!

First Blood

Night Gaunts.

A group of guys who came over from New Zealand and jammed in a crummy basement in the middle of Buffalo a few weeks ago. It was f**king awesome.

R.E.M., actually.

They're an old band, but I stumbled onto Losing My Religion by accident while youtubing a Soundgarden song.

First Blood

^ YES. I might not have to kill you after all.

SM

Automatic For The People for the win.

At least someone got to see all the good bands ;)

Another band recently discovered for me isn't a band but a lovely lady named Lisa Stansfield. Super talented vocally, pleasant to listen to and better to look at (in her younger years anyhows)  :-*

MrLee

for actual new stuff

there are so many bands coming out from Birmingham UK right now its insane!

Been listening to a lot of The Church's late 80s-early 90s albums lately, wish I discovered them sooner!

I haven't discovered a new song, but a whole genre. Industrial.

I love Metal, Power Metal, Heavy Metal, Nu Metal, Rap/Rock, Symphonic Metal, and my knowledge of genres pretty much dies there. There's so many different varieties of 'Metal' and I only know the ones I listen to long enough to pick up the word (and likely misuse it).

Now, through Nightcore remixes, I've found Dubstep, which at first I hated (because the popular stuff wasn't very good) but found some really great stuff, like Celldweller and Blue Stahli, and listening to them lead me to a lot of Youtube videos about 'Dark Industrial Electro' or 'Cruelstep' or 'Metalstep Mix'.

I really don't know of any Industrial bands though, I only have the hour long mixes I find.

If you are just getting into Industrial, I can suggest Stratvm Terror (extremely harsh Industrial) and Atomine Elektrine (ironically the same person). Also, I suggest you check out Dark Ambient. Some legends include Lustmord, raison d'etre (my personal favorite), Sophia and Inade.

I may have the wrong genre if those names you suggested are Industrial. I'm more into this kind of sound.
