Believe it or not, I like this better than the original. It screams AWESOME 80's inspiration. This uniform is 100% better than what he had in aliens. The bandolier especially.

I definitely like and respect the retro aspect. It's pretty badass.

I guess it's the fact that I didn't grow up with the original Kenner stuff as to one of the reasons I'm more inclined to like something movie-accurate. I didn't even know it was a thing until recently. Definitely don't hate it by any means. The Kenner stuff (by what I've read) has a lot of sentimental value for some of you guys, and I respect that.

I dunno, it feels weird sometimes that I'm very, very late to this party. I was late to Harry Potter, late to Pokémon, late to video gaming, etc. I just didn't grow up with some stuff.

That's a lot of cool stuff coming next year. I can't wait for more Kenner based figs. I'm especially excited for the Apone/Snake/Scorpion.

I'm patiently waiting for them to try something more ambitious like the Bull or dare I say, the Killer Crab.... when the Kenner toy line got really wild. lol

The Batman/Super Man/Alien/Predator packs are going to be con exclusives due to licensing issues. If it's anything like the recent convention exclusives us normal folk will still have a chance to grab them when they do those brief online sales

Randy did say they were doing something for the 40th anniversary, so I hope they do something from the original film.  I'm personally just hoping for an Ultimate Big Chap, which is apparently on the schedule at some point.

But I can't complain.  I grew up with the AVP arcade game and the Kenner line is actually what sparked my interest in the franchise.

That's a comprehensive list.  We just don't know exactly what they'll have for the 40th Anniversary.  Sure, you mention the Ultimate Big Chap; but I am thinking there's more.

After seeing what Super7 have done with their ALIEN Wave 3 - in particular the packaging design for their Parker and Brett figures featuring images of the actors - I'm thinking we may see Parker and Brett finally released as NECA items.  I'd be very surprised if we don't see 'em at some point.  If the actors (admittedly, Stanton is now deceased) have provided rights to do so elsewhere, I can see NECA also following suit.

I am very interested in seeing what happens next year.
